你是哪国人? nǐ shì nǎ ɡuó rén (Where are you from ? )


 nǐ  = you 
 shì = used like "be" before nouns or pronouns to identify, describe or amplify
                       the subject(is, am, are), etc.
 nǎ  = which/what ~ is used before a "measure word + noun "
 ɡuó = country
 rén =  people

Example :

A : 
你是哪国人?nǐ shì nǎ ɡuó rén  ( Where are you from ? )
B : 我是印尼人wǒ shì yìn ní rén  ( I am Indonesian )

NOTE : 印尼 yìn ní  ~ Indonesia
              rén  ~ people
